Manama:The Indian School Bahrain(ISB)Riffa campus students celebrated Vishwa Hindi Divas virtually on January 10,2022.Vishwa Hindi Divas holds special significance as it revives the charm and spirit of language learning among students.
A lot of excitement was witnessed around the Vishwa Hindi Divas week which was dedicated to facilitating children’s enthusiastic participation across the campus. Students presented profound speeches and poems referring to language as the social fabric that binds us to form a culturally rich and socially cohesive community. It brings about the spirit of caring and welcoming and makes each one feel valued. Other students expressed the importance of the event via storytelling, patriotic Hindi songs, dances, drawings, discussions on famous personalities, sharing recipes, etc. that contributed to making the event colourful.
The activities aimed to enhance the awareness and affinity for the language among students and to incorporate ideas in making learning more interesting. Teachers highlighted the significance of the day via presentations, fun quizzes and discussions. They also displayed in class the recordings of dances, songs, speeches, etc. sent by students, cheering them with loads of appreciation and encouragement and motivating the peers.
They likewise shared ideas on using relevant learning tools and digital apps under the supervision of parents. These apps delivered appropriate content to make learning exciting and engaging, such as audio, video, quizzes, game points, challenges, appreciations etc., and also enabled students to practise self-paced learning habits.
Their grand celebrations, responses, postings, and displays were a treat to the heart and mind and undoubtedly a motivating factor for all peer groups. ‘The school consistently invests in all driving forces and opportunities that help continue and propel the growth of the students’, said Riffa campus Principal Pamela Xavier.
