Manama:The Indian School Riffa campus children had an infotainment day at the traffic safety awareness week day camp held at The Avenues, Bahrain on March 6, 2023. The event was organised by the Traffic Directorate officials of Bahrain.
Traffic Inspector Ms. Rabya and other officials in attendance welcomed the students. She thanked them for attending the event and engaged the kids in an interactive discussion about the importance of adhering to traffic safety habits like reading road signs, using zebra crossings,pedestrian signals, walking on the sidewalk and fastening seat belts. Children and infants must always travel in suitable child seats in the backseat. The use of mobile phones while driving is not allowed.The students were then led by Ms Rabya through a variety of road safety awareness exercises that were available for them to complete in the kiosk. The arrangements were too irresistible, and the students immediately sprang into action. The staff members at the various stations occupied them with a variety of creative and interesting games, such as ringing the appropriate traffic safety stands, completing puzzle boards, playing video games, Pexeso (a memory game for recalling and identifying pairs of similar traffic guidelines tiles), coloring activities, taking pictures in the car cut-out stand. Finally students were happy to receive the gift of a goodie bag from the officials and a tasty lunch pack.The students had an exciting time learning about traffic safety rules. Principal Pamela Xavier expressed gratitude to the authorities, particularly Capt. Khulood, Ms. Rabya, and Mr. Sudhish from the Traffic Directorate for inviting the students for this informative traffic safety education event. ISB Hon.Chairman Prince S Natarajan and Hon.Secretary Saji Antony expressed gratitude to the Traffic Directorate for creating traffic awareness and congratulated the students for their active participation.
