ISB Riffa Campus holds Academic Award Ceremony

Manama: The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) Riffa campus held Academic Award Ceremony 2022–23 to honour students’ academic brilliance.  The event was held on Thursday at the Indian School Isa Town campus auditorium. Chief Guest Ministry of Education Director of Risk Assessment & Legal Affairs  Reem Alsanaei and Guest of Honour Education Specialist Directorate of Licensing and Follow-up of Private Schools   Sara Zakareya Buallay,ISB  Hon. Chairman  Prince S Natarajan, Hon. Secretary Saji Antony, Hon Vice-Chairman Jayafar Maidani,  Executive Committee Members Binu Mannil Varughese, Rajesh M N, Ajayakrishnan V, Mohammed Nayaz Ullah, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Riffa campus Principal Pamela Xavier , Staff Representative Johnson K Devassy, Vice- Principals, parents, students and staff were in attendance.
Principal   Pamela Xavier   welcomed   the dignitaries   and congratulated all the award recipients.  She highlighted the successes of the year and thanked the teachers for raising the benchmark with techniques modeling 21st-century skills and redefining students’ learning making it relevant, engaging and joyful.
Prince Natarajan who gave the presidential address  expressed his sincere appreciation to the teaching faculty and parents for their continuous support and guidance.   He also spoke on the upcoming initiative with regard to the sporting arena and stressed the value of giving students access to diverse opportunities that will pave the way for their extraordinary achievements.
In his felicitation address Saji Antony emphasized the value of honoring and celebrating students’ accomplishments in academics and extracurricular activities as a way to keep them inspired to pursue their ambitions.
Earlier the  program  commenced with the National Anthems, followed by the Holy Quran recitation and school song. The ceremonial lamp-lighting by dignitaries marked the start of the event. They honoured around  425 students for their outstanding academic performance in grades 1 and 2. The award ceremony was spaced with splendid cultural performances,  beginning with a graceful welcoming dance performance, “Yallah-Bahrain,” by students of Class 2 followed by  ” Zoomba Zest” by Class 1, a melodious song “Folk Fun” by class 2 and “East meets West” by Class 3. The dignitaries and audience praised the student emcees and performers who held the function zealously from start to finish. Head Girl Sera Kishor and Head Boy Reyhan Thomas Mathew  gave vote of thanks.
