Bahrain’s President of the Authority for Culture and Antiquities Meets India’s Minister of Culture and Tourism

New Delhi, India – His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), met today with His Excellency Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, India’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, during the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee meeting in New Delhi.

The two officials discussed potential avenues for strengthening the cultural ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and India, highlighting the deep-rooted historical relationship between the two nations. Both expressed a keen interest in developing joint programs aimed at fostering cultural exchange in diverse areas.

Shaikh Khalifa expressed his gratitude to Minister Shekhawat for his commitment to enhancing cultural relations between Bahrain and India. He noted that collaborative efforts between BACA and relevant Indian organisations have already resulted in numerous successful projects that have elevated the Indian cultural presence in Bahrain.

Furthermore, Shaikh Khalifa commended the exceptional organisation of the World Heritage Committee meeting by the Indian government, underscoring the country’s rich cultural and historical heritage, which has garnered international recognition.
