Sweden -:A Chechen athlete fighting out of Allstars Training Center in Stockholm Sweden and nicknamed Borz, or “The Wolf”, arrives at BRAVE Combat Federation with huge impact. The story seems familiar, right?
That happened before when Khamzat Chimaev, one of MMA biggest superstars, first fought under the truly global promotion banner in 2018.
But history sometimes repeats itself and, unlike popular belief, a lightning bolt can strike twice. Husein Kadimagomaev was born in Chechen and moved to Europe in 2015, at age 16.
On that occasion, though, he arrived in Switzerland, where he started his martial arts career. He also split his time between school and a career in logistics and customer service. This didn’t last long, as his future wasn’t in a 9-5 job nor in Switzerland.
Kadimagomaev then joined Allstars Training Center in Stockholm and, once BRAVE Combat Federation was in town, was scheduled for his promotional debut. That was when he got his nickname of “Lamen Borz”, which translates as “Mountain Wolf ” and also when he got his first BRAVE CF win, with a second-round TKO against Sven Fortenbacher.
Kadimagomaev’s next fight is his biggest chance to prove that his similarities with his fellow countryman and training partner include their performances inside the BRAVE CF Arena.
At BRAVE CF 52: Bad Blood, the Lamen Borz will take on Azerbaijan’s own Agshin Babaev and a convincing win can fastrack the youngster to the top of the Featherweight division.
