Bahrain : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on the success of the parliamentary and municipal elections with a record popular participation rate of 73%.The deputy prime minister praised the national achievement held in an atmosphere of integrity, impartiality and independence, amid full judicial supervision and civil oversight.He stressed Bahrain’s progress under the leadership of His Majesty the King towards further development, reform and freedoms guaranteed by the constitution and the laws to achieve the development goals .The deputy prime minister stressed the historic participation reinforces the popular determination that Bahrain has witnessed since the adoption of the National Action Charter in 2001.
