Manama: A huge crowd thronged the Isa Town campus to enjoy the second day of the Indian School Mega Fair. The ISB Mega Fair and Food Festival is being held at the Indian School after a gap of three years due to Covid-19. No wonder, an unprecedented number of people visited the Indian School fair with family on Thursday. Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava inaugurated the Mega Fair Food Festival amid festive spirit. Indian Embassy Second Secretary Ravi Kumar Jain, Yusuf Yaqoob Lori (Director of Information and Follow- Up), ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Hon. Secretary Saji Antony, Vice-Chairman Jayafar Maidani, Executive Committee Members Premalatha N.S , Adv.Binu Mannil Varughese, Rajesh M.N, Ajayakrishnan V, Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Mohammad Nayaz Ullah, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier, Fair General Convenor Shanavas P.K, Vice-Principals and Fair Committee office- bearers were present at the ceremony. The Indian Ambassador and other special guests were ushered to the mega fair venue accompanied by the school band. Principal VR Palaniswamy welcomed the gathering. Prince S Natarajan who presided the function thanked the teachers, parents, students, organizing committee members, the media and other well-wishers who played a key role in making the mega fair a grand success. Every year, the Indian School gives fee concession to around 1,000 deserving students who are facing financial difficulties. Prince Natarajan said that the Mega Fair, which is organized to raise funds for this purpose, is getting huge public support. In his inaugural address, Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava appreciated the academic excellence of the Indian School, their organizational skills and the dedication of the teachers. The Indian Ambassador said that the Indian School is able to provide excellent education to students from India and other countries on a non-profit basis. Prince Natarajan presented Memento to the Ambassador. Indian Singers Siddharth Menon, Mridula Varrier, Sachin Warrier, Avani, Vishnu Siva and Abdul Samad entertained the audience. Fayis Ashraf Ali who is biking his way to London to cover 30,000km, reached the venue of the Mega Fair and greeted the audience. Members of Pleasure Riders Bahrain visited the mega fair venue offering support. Today (Friday), the concluding day of the Fair will see a musical night led by Bollywood singer Bhoomi Trivedi and team. Fair tickets are available at the school in Isa Town. Indian School officials said it’s a matter of pride that they could organize the school fair successfully at short notice with the tremendous support from the community.
