Bahrain : As part of its annual summer special program of ICRF Thirst-Quenchers 2021, the Indian Community Relief Fund (“ICRF”) continue to distribute bottled water and fruits to the workers. The basic purpose of such activity is to teach workers the importance of drinking water and encourage them on how to be healthy during the summer. Today’s distribution was held at Tubli for more than 200 workers. This is the second week and the program is supported by Bohra community in Bahrain.ICRF Thirst-Quenchers intends to continue this weekly event for the next 8 to 10 weeks in various worksites as they are one of the most affected toiling under the summer heat.Additionally, ICRF volunteers have distributed flyers that explain the measures that can be followed to stay safe during COVID-19 as well as flyers on mental well being.The event was organised following COVID-19 protocol and attended by ICRF Thirst Quenchers’ convener Sudheer Thirunilath’, ICRF Volunteers Nisha Rangarajan, Aarti Rangarajan, Raman Preet and Muralikrishnan.
