Manama:The Indian School Bahrain (ISB)celebrated the 19th annual Technofest to commemorate the Indian National Science and Technology Day in Isa Town campus on May11, 2023. Students from grade 6 to 12 took part in the various inter and intra school activities to showcase their talents and creativity. Seven CBSE curriculum schools including the host school participated in this event.
Among inter school events, these schools participated in symposium on ‘Cyber Security and Safety’, On the Spot Model Making Contest and Science and Technology Quiz. The intra-school events included Display Board Competition for standard 6 to 8, Digital Poster Making competition on different themes for standard 9 to 12 and Working Model Making Contest for standard 9 and 10.
The digital poster making competition and working model making contest were the new additions this year to enhance the artistic and intellectual quotient of the students through creative outlook. A large number of students of classes 9 to 12 participated in these events with extreme enthusiasm and involvement.
The valedictory function was attended by Principal VR Palaniswamy, vice-principals along with HoDs, Head Teachers of senior sections in the presence of teachers in-charge from participating schools. The awards to winning participants were distributed by the dignitaries. Judges were presented mementos for their contribution. The event had a lasting impression in the memory of the students who would carry the impact of a day filled with scientific thoughts and activities. The ISB students were in the forefront of managing the entire function guided by science faculty members.
