Bahrain : The Indian School Riffa campus celebrated Annual Day ‘Fantasia-2023’ on Saturday attracting a large turnout of students, parents and guests.The programme was held in the Jashanmal auditorium at the school’s Isa Town campus. The Annual Day celebration was a resounding success, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and for the entire school community to come together to celebrate the school’s achievements. Chief Guest Ministry of Education Risk Assessment and Legal Affairs Acting Director Reem Al Sanaei , Guests of Honour Educational Specialists Sara Ebrahim AlDerazi, Reem Mohammed AlDhaen, Shaikha Rashid AlKhalifa and Committees Affairs Specialist Ali Khalifa AlJowder lighted the ceremonial lamp. ISB Hon. Chairman. Prince S Natarajan, Hon. Secretary Saji Antony, Hon Vice-Chairman Jayafar Maidani, Hon. Asst. Secretary Premalatha N S, Executive Committee Members Mohammad Khursheed Alam,Binu Mannil Varughese, Rajesh M N, Ajayakrishnan V, Mohammed Nayaz Ullah, Principal VR Palaniswamy,Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier and Vice- Principals attended.The events began with the rendition of the national anthems of Bahrain and India, followed by readings from the Holy Quran, the melodious school song by the students and the lighting of the lamp. The flash mob performed a welcome dance consisting of grade III student council members.Principal Pamela Xavier welcomed the dignitaries. She highlighted the achievements and progress of the school and attributed its growth to the combined effort by the entire ISB family and thanked them for their continued support.
Prince S Natarajan said the school positively boosts the children’s self-confidence and offers the skills they need to achieve success in their lives. Saji Antony said the school gives a caring and supportive atmosphere to bring out the best in children. Dignitaries were honoured with mementos by the Hon. Chairman and Members of the Executive Committee.The awards presentation were the special moments of the Annual Day wherein the students were recognized for their talents and achievements. The dignitaries presented certificates and trophies to all winners of the various co-curricular competitions. The Group Champions for the academic year 2022-23 are Sreeptha Thathronveedu – LKG-P, Evangelo Benson Attokaran – UKG-H, Samanvi Sumesh Nair – UKG -C, Darshikka Ezhil-Std I-E, Shourya Krishna Kishore-Std I-R, Aamilah Shanavas-Std II-E, Alvin Kunhiparambath-Std III-H and Sreelakshmi Gayathri Std III-T.
The celebrations showcased various talents of the students, such as show anchoring, songs, dances, etc. The key events of the programme were anchored by students from LKG to Class III. The highlights of the academic year were presented by Asst. Head Boy Blesswin Brawin. The cultural highlights of the day were Groovy Beats, a fusion dance, and a tribal dance by classes 1 and 2 students. Folk Frolic by grade 1 and 2 was a fusion of Indian regional dance forms. Class 3 students presented Viva Goa and Super Troupers and class 2 students showcased fashion show.
The events depicted the rich cultural heritage of India, complete with colourful costumes and vibrant music. The students put on a spectacular performance and were greatly applauded by the audience.Head Boy Alvin Kunhiparambath and Head Girl Mariam Ahmed Fathy Ibrahim presented the vote of thanks. The event was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, teachers, and staff. Earlier Scouts and Guides rendered their service for the smooth conduct of the programme. The welcome troupe dressed in traditional Bahraini attire gave the dignitaries a grand welcome and escorted them to the auditorium.
