Little girl donates hair to support kids with cancer 

Manama:Eshaal Fathima,9, made her way to Bahrain Cancer Society today  in support of a special cause.
She donated her 44cm long hair to support kids with cancer. ‘I wanted to donate my hair so kids who need a wig could have one too’, she said. Grade 4B   student  at the Indian School Bahrain(ISB), Eshaal Fathima has been growing  her hair out for the past two years with the intention of donating it for a noble cause. Now that  she has donated locks of  hair to the Cancer Society,  real hair wigs can be made for  children who have lost their own through cancer treatment or other reasons.
Eshaal has been studying in the Indian School since LKG.  Living through a pandemic for more than two years, the 9-year-old girl is  thrilled that she finally could do something to help others.
Eshaal says: ‘I started to grow  my hair during the COVID time.  I thought of donating my hair  for cancer patients .It can be used as a wig.It will be helpful for them as many people are  losing their hair due to cancer treatments.’
Eshaal Fathima  is daughter of Indian expatriates Shafeeque Madhuramangalath who works as Safety Officer in Arcal WLL  and Rubeena Nalakath, admin at Little Princess Nursery in Hidd. The family hails from Tirur in Kerala.
ISB Hon Chairman Prince S Natarajan,Hon. Secretary Saji Antony and Principal VR Palaniswamy appreciated the student’s noble initiative for the society.
