Bahrain : Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Finance and National Economy Minister, and Mohamed Bin Hadi Al Hussaini, the Minister of State for Financial Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, signed an investment promotion and protection agreement and double taxation elimination agreement, on the sidelines of his participation in the Eighth Arab Fiscal Forum and the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024.Shaikh Salman lauded the long-standing historical Bahraini-Emirati relations which have become a model of integration and joint action in various domains, including the financial, economic, and investment fields, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates.The minister highlighted the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for strengthening cooperation between the two countries, including in the financial, economic, and investment sectors.He emphasised the importance of building on successful results and advancing cooperation.The two agreements aim to develop economic and trade opportunities between Bahrain and the two countries, enhance joint investments, and enhance the competitiveness of the national economy.These agreements are part of Bahrain’s efforts to boost investment attractions and boost the national economy’s competitiveness.
