Kazakhstan : BRAVE Combat Federation will make its much-anticipated return to Kazakhstan for BRAVE CF 53, in association with Octagon League. The show, which takes place on August 21st, in Almaty, had its full fight card revealed today.
In the main event of the evening, a top Featherweight bout will take place between Nurzhan Akishev and Tae Kyun Kim with the winner very much in pole position to earn a shot at the currently vacant 145lbs world title. In the co-main event, Vasiliy Takhtay and Roger Sampaio face off in a Catchweight bout of 73kg.
The much-anticipated clash between former champion Lucas Martins and Marcel Grabinski is another highlight of the card. They were supposed to meet at BRAVE CF 51, but Marcel fell ill during the fight night and their bout was scratched with minutes to spare.
Kazakhstani star Asu Almabaev will welcome former Russian champion Aleksander Doskalchuk in a pivotal Flyweight bout, and Brad Katona looks for a Bantamweight title shot when he meets Bair Shtepin.
Aside from the BRAVE CF main card, which features seven amazing bouts, the Octagon Prelims also promise to lift the roof off Almaty, Kazakhstan, with another seven big matchups.
In total, athletes from nine different nations will defend their flags at BRAVE CF 53, a number that highlights the international aspect of BRAVE Combat Federation and the global proving ground for local stars to turn into household names around the world.
