Manama: Indian School Bahrain (ISB) student has donated his hair to Bahrain Cancer Society.  ISB student Kethan Mohan Pillai, aged 11, has been growing his hair out for the past one and a half years. Now, he has donated his 12-inch-long hair to the Cancer Society so wigs can be made for cancer patients.
Kethan said: “I decided to grow my hair for the last one and a half years during the COVID-19 pandemic when the school started online classes. When my hair grew longer  I thought of donating my hair to cancer patients’ wigs. Then I heard about  the Bahrain Cancer Society which supports cancer patients.  So I contacted them and asked if I could donate my hair. They said “yes”. I’m proud of  doing a little  act of kindness. We all can do some small things in our life to make others smile.’’

A class VII student, Kethan is son of Indian expatriates Mohanan Pillai  and Rajee Mohanan. ISB Hon Chairman Prince S Natarajan,Hon. Secretary Saji Antony and Principal VR Palaniswamy appreciated the student’s compassionate action for the society.
